Banning Glues which contain VOC ( Volatile Organic Compounds)

Memo: To all Associations, Board Members, Selectors

Last year ITTF set a date for changeover applying to all International Events, to water based glues as follows;
- All junior events 1 January 2008
- All senior events 1 September 2008.
Countries to set their own date for changeover.
For all Events in New Zealand the changeover to water based glues will occur on 1 November 2008. From this date all VOC glues will be banned.
Please note:
Players involved in the World Junior Circuit Event in Tahiti 2-5 July must use water based glues.
VOC glues could be considered to be a health hazard. It is recommended players make their own
decision to change to water based glue before 1 November, however it will not be enforced till then.
Treated Pimple Rubber
At the ITTF AGM in Ghaungzhou this year the following resolution was passed;
From 1 July 2008, all treated pimpled rubbers will be deleted from the ITTF Authorised Racket Covering List. The brands to be removed are indicated on the ITTF Authorised Racket Covering List dated 1 April 2008- 30 September 2008.

Tournament Clothing
With the official ball colour changed to white for 2008 onwards, white clothing will no longer be approved in tournaments.
