The Auckland Table Tennis Association is hosting a “Festival of Table Tennis” in April 2010

The events are as follows:

• Youth Olympic Games Oceania Qualification Tournament: 1st April 2010
• Oceania Cadet Challenge: 2nd April 2010
• Training Camp: 3rd April – 5th April 2010 April
• KVB Kunlun ITTF New Zealand Junior Open: 6th April – 9th April 2010
• Youth Olympic Games International Qualification Tournament: 10th April – 11th April 2010
• KVB Kunlun ITTF-Oceania Championships: 12th April – 18th April 2010

The Auckland Table Tennis Association has been confirmed as one of only five venues to host an International Qualification Tournament for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore in August 2010. In addition, the Association will host the Oceania leg of the Global Junior Circuit, and the 15th biannual Oceania Championships. We are looking forward to the challenge of running these international table tennis events.

There will be Opening Ceremonies hosted at the Auckland table tennis stadium as follows:
a) 5th April at 6.00p.m. KVB Kunlun ITTF New Zealand Junior Open. This will be followed by a Reception in the upstairs cafeteria at 7.00p.m.
b) 11th April at 6.00p.m. KVB Kunlun ITTF-Oceania Championships. This will be followed by a Reception in the upstairs cafeteria at 7.00p.m.

We would like to extend an invitation to all Auckland Table Tennis Association players and members to attend the opening ceremonies, receptions, watch matches over the course of the Championships, and to catch up with table tennis colleagues from around the world. The Auckland Table Tennis Association is looking forward to a successful Championships with entries from ten Oceania nations, and eight further international nations.
